Manner of Assessment:
a. The E-logbook is an essential category for filling up the AC02 (Evaluation Sheet for Orthopaedic Training Programs), specifically the first MPL domain – Resident’s Surgical Skills / Institutional Clinical Material domain – and is given a maximum of four (4) points. The AC02a (Rubric for E-Logbook Assessment) is used as the basis and will be based primarily on the entries’ completeness and accuracy. Scores in between numbers may be given depending on how the Trustee perceives the manner of usage.
b. Surgical cases in accredited satellite hospitals of the said program are the only ones recognized by The Board. Should the program in question opt for additional satellites, this has to be cleared and approved so that the official e-logbook server can be given ample notice.
c. The e-logbook / e-portfolio entries may also serve as a basis for the Residents’ Interview in the AC02 category for the Theoretical Knowledge Evaluation, the second MPL domain.
