1. A National Orthopaedic Aptitude Examination (NOAE) test made up of 200 questions will be conducted by the committee on NORAP for all applicants on the first weekend of October of each year, pending national availability. This will be computerized and conducted online at this time but maybe face to face sometime in the future with examination centers in Luzon, Visayas & Mindanao.

2. The exam blueprint will be as follows:

 a) Anatomy of the musculoskeletal system – 25% (50 items)

b) Biochemistry as applied to the musculoskeletal system – 25% (50 items)

c) Physiology as applied to the musculoskeletal system – 25% (50 items)

d) Common orthopaedic fractures and dislocations – 15% (30 items)

e) Common orthopaedic tumors – 10% (20 items)

3. NOAE will only rank the applicants from highest to lowest giving a percentile rank and the results of the examination will only be provided to the training program of choice of a particular resident applicant within a week after the examination
